As a partner of Primary EyeCare, Dr. Hoppe is eager to help you with your eye care needs. He is a board certified optometrist in Hutchinson and Litchfield. Dr. Hoppe has been with the practice in Litchfield and Hutchinson since 2005. Dr. Hoppe’s interests are in primary care, and children’s eye care. He received his Bachelor of Visual Science degree and his Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. He completed internships at the Mayo Health in Albert Lea, MN and the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Portland, OR. Dr. Hoppe has volunteered in both the Jaycees and Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, and coached baseball, hockey, and football. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. When Dr. Hoppe is not working at Primary EyeCare, he spends time attending his boy’s football, hockey, and lacrosse games.
Dr. Abby Trettin is originally from Aberdeen, South Dakota. She knew from a young age that she wanted to serve patients in the medical field in a tight knit community. As a partner of Primary EyeCare, Dr. Trettin is dedicated to providing excellent service to all of her patients. Dr. Trettin received her Bachelor of Science degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN. While at Concordia, she was part of the women’s hockey team where she earned several honors. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. As a student, she served as a teaching assistant and was involved in many clubs on campus. She also was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. She takes a special interest in primary care, contact lenses, and sports vision. In her spare time, Dr. Trettin enjoys spending time with family, going to the lake, and watching or playing sports.
Dr. Mark Korthals is originally from northwest Iowa. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Wayne State College in Wayne, NE, and went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. Dr. Korthals’ interests are in primary care and contact lenses. His wife Lisa is currently a language arts middle school teacher. In his spare time, Dr. Korthals enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters and time outdoors.
