Introducing Our Eye Care Doctors

Optometrists specialize in eye health, vision, and eye disease diagnosis and treatment. These doctors often work together with healthcare providers in other fields to deliver a full scope of services aimed at preserving health and safeguarding vision. We are pleased to have two outstanding professionals heading up our care team.

• Dr. Matthew Hoppe is a Primary EyeCare partner and works as a board certified optometrist in our Delano, Litchfield, and Hutchinson locations. With a professional background including BS Visual Science and Doctor of Optometry at Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR and internships at the Mayo Health in Albert Lea and Rochester, MN, and the VA Medical Center in Portland, OR, Dr. Hoppe brings an exceptional standard of eye health care and management to our patients. His hobbies include golfing, running, and watching boys football, hockey and lacrosse.

• Dr. Abby Trettin is a Primary EyeCare partner and works as a board certified optometrist in our Delano, Litchfield and Hutchinson locations. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, where she was on the women’s hockey team. She went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon. She takes a special interest in primary care, ocular disease, contact lenses, and sports vision. Her hobbies include fishing, spending time at the lake, and watching Minnesota Gopher sports.

In addition to comprehensive eye exams, optical/contact lens evaluations, and contact lens fittings, our optometrists also provide Lasik consultation to patients considering this course of treatment. These consultations give patients the opportunity to get personalized answers to their questions. Since LASIK is not a perfect solution for every vision concern, an evaluation is typically required before surgery can be scheduled.
